Summary of thesis

The goal of my project is to address the response of continental weathering (chemical alteration of rocks in the surface/critical zone) to a changing climate. To do this, I will estimate the amount of weathering during the Palaeocene-Eocene thermal maximum (PETM) which is a brief (<200 thousand years) episode of intense (+8°C) global warming that took place 56 Ma ago.
