Description

QGIS, an open-source Geographic Information System (GIS), is widely used across academia, industry, government, and NGOs. Despite this relevance, many PhD students have limited exposure to it due to project-specific constraints – a missed opportunity, as GIS skills are increasingly sought after in the job market. To bridge this gap, we have invited experts from academia, industry, and international organizations (including the UN) to share how they use QGIS in their work. This three-day workshop combines theoretical insights with hands-on training, allowing participants to build foundational skills or refine existing ones; and better prepare for future career opportunities
