Description

SwissSed is an informal group of Swiss sedimentologists promoting contacts, exchange of ideas, and information on current developments in sedimentology, stratigraphy, and paleoecology. The main goal is to give PhD students a forum to present their results as a talk or a poster. Additionally, a keynote speaker (N.N.) is invited to give a presentation on an attractive and relevant topic. The meeting is in presence and is a module of the CUSO doctoral school 'Earth Surface Processes and Paleobiosphere'.

Program

You are cordially invited to participate the upcoming SwissSed Meeting 2026 - we have an interesting program for you (download).

This year, we have the pleasure of welcoming two keynote speakers:

  • Boris Karatsolis, UNIFR: "Using microfossils to reconstruct paleoclimatic and ocean circulation dynamics during past warm periods".

The deadline for abstract submission and registration was Friday 27th February 2026, however, if you wish to join you are cordially invited to register on-siite.
