Description

The courses will introduce the basic applications of rock mechanics and fracture analysis for both the oil/gas and new energy industry. The different modules and sessions dive into the theoretical principles needed for the consecutive tasks:

The courses start at 9:15 a.m. every morning and will run until 4:30 - 5:00 p.m.

Day 1: M1: Introduction to 3D geomechanics & natural fracture prediction; M2: Advanced case studies on reservoir geomechanics, natural fracture prediction; M3: Construction of a mechanical earth model (MEM) & basics on the Finite Element Method (FEM) & Session day closure – Q/A.

Day 2: M4: Geostatistics & property modelling; M5: Hands-on construction of a MEM & property modelling & Session day closure – Q/A

Day 3: M6: Geomechanics-driven natural fracture prediction based on geological restoration; M7: Petrel Geomechanics workflow including natural fracture modelling applied to GEOTHERMAL CCS NUCLEAR WASTE DEPOSITS & Session day closure –
