Description

The workshop is composed of lectures (karst, definitions, morphology, hydrology, applications, cave genesis and drainage areas) and field trip excursions in Môtiers and Noiraigue (karst spring, cave, tracer experiment, hydrology field exercise & practical exercise, stratigraphy, tectonic setting and landscape evolution of the Gorges de l'Areuse).

10h30-12h00 lecture (karst, definitions, morphology, hydrology, applications)
12h00 lunch at Môtiers
13h10-16h15 excursion Môtiers: karst spring, cave, tracer experiment
16h30-17h30 lecture on cave genesis and drainage areas
Evening dinner at Couvet

Day 2, 23.10.2020

08h30 12h30: morning field trip Môtiers: hydrology field exercise, practical exercise
13h00 lunch and transfer to Noiraigue
14h00 fieldtrip Noiraigue-Champs du Moulin: karst spring, stratigraphy, tectonic setting and landscape evolution of the Gorges de l'Areuse
17h00 CFF to Neuchâtel and dep. from main station
