Day I – Porous 3D Imaging Techniques (1/2 day) and applications (1/2 day) - The strength of X-ray CT techniques - Visualization at nano-scale: FIB-SEM and CLSM - Synchrotron-CT - Applications in Geosciences - Practical part: CT Image Lab, Uni Fribourg

Day II – 3D Image Analysis (theoretical part and practical part) - From reconstruction to segmentation techniques - Labelling - Introduction into Petrophysics - Pore shape analysis - Practical part: segmentation, labelling and pore shape analysis

Day III – Advanced applications of 3D Imaging in Geosciences – From 3D image towards modelling - Image based pore network modelling - Image-based fluid transport modelling - 4D Imaging: in-situ experiments in the scanner - Examples and applications - Discussion session with students
